Best Bingo Sites to Battle for EGR Award

Cashcade and Tombola are included in the shortlist of six best bingo sites for this year’s Bingo Operator of the Year category at the EGR Awards.

According to BingoPort portal, Cashcade hosted over 2,500 average daily concurrent users in the three months. That is 23% if the UK market. Tombola is most visited website in the UK and has even more players than Cashcade according to Hitwise and BingoPort data respectively. A £5m multi-media advertising campaign combined with customer-focused innovations such as loyalty programmes Play-Mates and MyTombola, a cross between social networking sites Facebook and Twitter was also noted and contributed to its nomination.

Jackpot Joy operator Gamesys was also included in the list of nominees. The operator was recognized for progress in the last 12 months through its white-label partnership with The Sun newspaper. Innovations such as low-cost bingo room the Emerald Room and new games such as Monopoly Snap have also contributed into operator’s growth where number of its member exceeded three millionth mark.

Ladbrokes Bingo is another nominee for EGR award. This bingo operator has increased its active players 6% year-on-year, and value per player by 42%. The operator opened its 90-ball bingo room in five new languages. Players from Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland and Spain can enjoy the game in their native languages.

William Hill Bingo was included in online bingo sites shortlist due to an increased above-the-line spend of more than £2.5m during 2008-09, helping it increase its share of the UK bingo wallet from 3 to 5% over the past 19 months.

Relative newcomer Wink Bingo made the list after eye-catching promotions combined with high-profile sponsorships of popular peak-time ITV programs including All Star Family Fortunes, The Cube and Harry Hill’s TV Burp. The site now offers 20 regular and 19 special game rooms, compared to just four at the time of its launch in February 2008.
